Patrice Handley, a Santa Barbara Wedding Officiant with over 17 years of experience, to deliver a “Short & Sweet” Marriage Ceremony about Love & Dedication.

For ELOPEMENTS ONLY, or for a Couple with One or Two Witnesses - at the SANTA BARBARA COURTHOUSE.

Although this ceremony follows a prepared outline, it still offers a sweet, meaningful, and intimate experience which is “personalized” with your own choices from a large selection of VOWS, READINGS, POEMS, BLESSINGS, etc.

A beginning CHAT with Patrice will explain the best way to apply for your MARRIAGE LICENSE, and later, your MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE. Filing of your Marriage License is included.

(NOTE: An added fee adjustment of $25 for other locations/venues in the Santa Barbara area only. NOTE: The “Joyful” package does not apply to elopements in Ojai or the Santa Ynez Valley…the fees for those out-of-town elopements start at $700 plus a travel fee of $100 - see details below).

A loving ceremony which includes everything in the “Joyful” Elopement/Marriage Ceremony — PLUS the option for the couple to customize their ceremony by writing their own vows or personal statements.

“Micro Wedding” Marriage Ceremony — Starting at $550

Patrice Handley to officiate a simple and warm Marriage Ceremony for a wedding of UP TO 25 GUESTS

A memorable and heartfelt ceremony which includes acknowledgement of family/guests.

Available for venues in the Santa Barbara city limits only. Does not apply to ceremonies in Ojai or the Santa Ynez Valley…the fees for those out-of-town marriage ceremonies are $650 plus a travel fee of $100.

A meaningful and loving ceremony which includes everything in the “Micro Wedding” — PLUS the option for the couple to customize their ceremony by writing their own vows or personal statements.

The “Santa Barbara” Marriage Ceremony — Starting at $700

Patrice Handley to deliver a non-denominational marriage ceremony about love & dedication at the venue of your choice (out of town travel fee may apply). This ceremony package includes many choices from a vast collection of vows, readings, poems and blessings to make it your own. A key part of this package is a PERSONAL PHONE CONSULTATION—a wonderful opportunity for me to learn more about you and your love story, and to discuss your ideas, including whether you’d like to write your own vows or personal statements.

The “Santa Barbara Ceremony” will be very personalized to fit your style. This is a hands-on ceremony—Patrice is just a call, text, or email away and always happy to offer help and encouragement throughout the process.

How to best obtain a Marriage License and subsequent Marriage Certificate is part of the conversation.

Coordination with other “preferred” wedding professionals included, as well as an extensive vendor list of Wedding Planners, Photographers, Videographers, Florists, Musicians, DJ’s, Transportation

A detailed Marriage Ceremony Order will be emailed to the Couple and their Wedding Planner - to know what to expect.

Ceremony Processional & Recessional Guidelines for the Couple, Bridal Party & Family - if no Planner is involved.

“Ceremonial” Marriage Certificate - lovely for framing. Filing of your Marriage License is included.

For a Rehearsal, please add $100. Rehearsals are always a fun occasion and very helpful to make the wedding day go smoothly. Very appreciated by most couples and wedding coordinators. If you do not have a planner/coordinator, it's best to have your Santa Barbara Classic Wedding Officiant direct the rehearsal. It ensures that all the wedding party participants, family members, and especially the bride and groom are clear on where they will stand and what to expect the day of the wedding. The order of everyone in the processional and recessional is practiced at the rehearsal.

The “SANTA BARBARA CULTURAL” package is filled with tradition and heart. It honors your heritage with a ceremony full of warmth, meaning, and the beautiful rituals that make your culture unique. The love and care that go into bringing it to life are reflected in the fee.

The “Classic” Marriage Ceremony — Starting at $950

Patrice Handley to deliver a highly personalized marriage ceremony at the venue of your choice (out of town travel fee may apply). This package includes a wonderful opportunity for couples to review a DRAFT OF THE CEREMONY before the wedding, as well as a mutual exchange of ideas of the content, i.e. readings, poems, personal vows, blessings, etc. This ceremony is very hands-on and will be unique to you!

IN-PERSON CONSULTATION - It's great to meet in person if possible, in addition to having access to Patrice by phone/text/email along the way. How to write your own vows or personal statements - if you want to - is discussed in detail. Having met Patrice before the wedding is reassuring, although phone consultations are often quite adequate — especially for out-of-town couples.
