When I’ve received reviews since beginning to officiate ceremonies in 2008, it’s been like opening a gift and light beams start jumping out. A very sweet couple was recently married in one of Santa Barbara’s most iconic venues: The Mural Room at the historic Santa Barbara Courthouse.
They were the kind of people who are so clearly made for each other that there was a certain magic between them as they said their vows. That magic lit up the magnificent Mural Room as their lovely family and friends listened to their personalized marriage ceremony with huge smiles on their faces.
The couple had become very close to one another's families during the pandemic lockdown, and you could just tell those moms & dads were over the moon that the day had come to celebrate their kids becoming husband and wife. I think I'll have to write a poem about them!

“Patrice was an absolutely amazing officiant! We found her online and quickly set up a consultation. From the first phone call, Patrice was thoughtful, empathetic, and kind. We had several chats with her leading up to our wedding, where she really made an effort to get to know us.
On our actual wedding day, she was able to put together a ceremony that felt personal and poignant, because she had taken the time to really learn about us. She also provided a lot of guidance on poems, blessings, and readings that would be a nice touch at our ceremony. The ceremony itself was absolutely lovely and heartfelt, and we are so thrilled we found Patrice!”
